Mahusay, Talingting capture bronze in STEP contest

PEHS students managed to capture two bronze medals in the Dish Gardening & Hair Trimming & Make-up contest during the Student Technologists & Entrepreneurs of the Philippines (STEP) Competition in Babag National High School on October 14, 2009.

“The competition is very competitive, my opponents spent three thousand pesos for their dish garden but they did not make it to the top three,”said Ganie Talingting.

Ganie Talingting is awarded the bronze medal for his dish garden “Dragon Shell”. One of the teachers who witnessed the said event even offered to buy his dish garden.

Marlou “The Magician” Mahusay, a junior student, also captured the bronze medal in the Hair Trimming & Make-up competition.

According to Adonis Pagobo, the PEHS Hair Trimming & Make-up consultant , “Marlou’s work is unique & I am proud of his achievement.”

Webster Villaver & Roxette Latonio also represented the school in the Net Weaving & Bookkeeping Using MS Excel contest.

STEP aims to secure a hopeful and significant place in the world for pupils and students by enhancing technical and entrepreneurial skills while developing leadership potentials and building desirable work values and character.
