Eyas Delivers Silver in CVIRAA Arnis Tourney

Marjun Eyas, a junior student at Punta Engaño High School (PEHS), bagged two medals in the regional anyo competitions in Danao City on Feb. 9, 2010.

Eyas received the silver medal in the Anyo Single Stick (Individual Category). The contested event is participated by ten different divisions in the Central Visayas. He was also awarded a bronze medal in the Anyo Double Stick (Individual Category).

“It was fun & I’m going to get that elusive gold medal next year,” Eyas said.

Jannien Amado, a senior student from PEHS, also ranked fourth in the Anyo Double Stick (Individual Category). In the team category, Amado & her companions also ranked fourth in the Anyo Double Stick.

Errol Macoy, Jr. also ranked fifth in the Chess Competition.

Nineteen divisions from the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) participated in this week long event which was hosted by Danao City. The CVIRAA meet is an annual multi-level regional scholastic athletic competition conducted by the Department of Education and participated in by the elementary and secondary pupils / students both from public and private schools.
